Nose: Plum, Blackberry, Cherry

Palate: Fresh, wild mouthfeel, rich fruit expression, fun as hell

Produced from Gamay vines rented from Gilles Bonnefoy of Vins de la Madonne. There’s minimal intervention in the vineyard and the cellar and the wine is bottled without intervention.

On the nose, there are nostalgic notes of slightly overripe plum, blackcurrants and bramble fruit, that will take you back to childhood walks, plucking autumn berries from bushes as your little lungs produced puff-fulls of warm air into a clear blue sky. On the palate there’s concentrated cherry, rendered fresh by the lip-sucking acidity, followed by a hint of pepper and delicate blackcurrant leaf. The soft fizz, that’s really more of an effervescence, means that everything is bounced around your taste buds making the whole experience double delicious. A very, very fun bottle.
