Le Touriste

Nose: Pear, dried apricots, lemon zest

Palate: very faintly oxidative, so slight hint of burnt caramel, great balance of acidity, pear and ginger

This is a bit of a sneaky one. At first it seems to be a very classy Chardonnay aged in old french barrels, however underneath a wild wine lies. There’s a oxidative note that begins to express itself about twenty minutes after the bottle open that makes for a rich and complex, but very drinkable wine. A big ripper.
