Nose: Blackberry, balsamic vinegar, strawberries

Palate: slightly fizzy with a wild and racing acidity contrasted by a soft earthy quality, a bit like wild mushrooms.

A bottle that I’ve been waiting for for a very long time from the man with the best ponytail in winemaking. Carbonic maceration of powerful grape varieties in hot climates is alway very satisfying, you get all the fruit and intensity with none of the tannins and structure. Couple that with Fabio’s strict no-intervention attitude to his winemaking and you’re on to a winner. Not a bottle to be missed.
